Schools and colleges will remain closed till January 7th

LAHORE – The provincial governments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have announced to extend winter vacations until January 6 in all public institutions.

Punjab Education Minister Murad Ras confirmed Monday that schools will remain closed due to the lingering impact of winter and foggy weather conditions persisting in plains across the province.

Meanwhile KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan also increased the duration of vacations, with schools reopening on January 7.

Earlier, the institutions in both the provinces were scheduled to be closed till January 3, 2019.

Education Minister Punjab Dr Murad Raas has just announced that Schools and colleges will remain closed till January 7th, 2019 in Punjab.

“Due to the intensity of the cold weather and fog in Punjab, the schools will remain closed for one more week and will reopen on January 7th, 2019. The notification will be issued tomorrow morning. We care for our children & honourable teachers.”
